New Web Page

SO, I've got two items related to the links on my blog.
First, I opened my guitar case yesterday, only to find a piece had fallen off of the "second most expensive thing I own". It's a minor piece, but still renders Larry unplayable for the moment. So, I clicked on the link on my blog, got the local number and gave them a call. I can get it fixed, but I got a hold of them 3 minutes before they were about to go on holiday. They'll be back about the same time I will be back from Saskatchewan, so I'll have to wait for the new year to get it fixed.
Second, if you've clicked on the link for the church, you've noticed how sucky our webpage is. Not anymore, check this out.
OK, Merry Christmas if I we don't connect before then.

I don't feel good

I'm not sick, I just feel bad. There's this homeless guy that comes by every once in while to the church. The last couple of times I've seen him he's gotten quite upset, almost violent, with me. So he walked into the church ealy this morning when I was the only one around. He asked if I had time to talk and I said that I didn't really want to talk to him because he hasn't been very nice to me in the past. We had a small argument and he left. Now I feel really bad for being so rude. I could just listen to him, but I know that if I don't offer to help him somehow he'll get upset like the last couple of times. Anyway, I was rude, so I'm sorry for that. If I see him again, and I probably will, then I'll have to apologize. Our pastor says I need to move on, but it'll bug me all day.
Sorry Francois....

Funny Monkey

So, our son went through this phase where he would flip onto his tummy in the crib. Only problem is he couldn't get to sleep if he did that. So we've had to resort to rocking him asleep and then putting him in the crib so he couldn't do that. Now, I just put him in there, on his back, and he woke up complaining. So I rocked him back to sleep, put him back in and he woke up again. But, he flipped onto his tummy and just as I was about to pick him up, he promptly went to sleep. On his tummy. Kid's are strange...

The Tribe has spoken...

Although comments are on the rise here in mumbleville, the natives are getting restless. So I will drop the advent picture thing. As far as news goes, there isn't much to speak of really. We had our youth Christmas party on Friday night. One of the games we played was called "Santa's Beard Relay" which involved smearing vaseline on your face, running over and smooshing your face into a bowl of cotton balls to make a beard. Initially, there was a good deal of grumbling about the grossness of said game, but when I put it to a vote, no one voted against playing, and everyone seemed to enjoy it in the end. What other job do you get to do stuff like that? We also made shrinky dink ornaments. If that isn't festive, I don't know what is...

Advent

So it's advent. The chocolate calendars should be missing a couple of goodies by now. I found some cool nativity scene pictures, so maybe I'll post them here each day until I run out and you can comment on what you like/dislike about them. Here goes...

$600?!?!?!?!?!?

Yeah, that's the damage. Alternator, battery, belt, labour, gst. The list goes on and on. Well, not really, it ends after pst, but it hurts just the same. I like my garage though. They're nice guys and seem to be reasonable... if you consider $79/hr reasonable.
My ride forgot to come and get me, so I waited there. It only took just over an hour anyway, and I was actually pretty productive on my lappy 600m.

Reading the paper while I was there I noticed the SkyDome sold for a mere $25 million recently. I also noticed that the average home price in the GVRD is over $400K now, compared to $136 in Saskatoon. I suppose snowless winters might be worth over $250, 000...
