oh, bother
last time i checked the amazon links worked, but now they have some thing where your songs have to come from a CD that has a valid upc on it, and I don't, so I'll have to arrange some alternative venue for hosting my music. OH well, sorry about that.

Check it out
I've put up a new website for my music. Please go to it and check it out. Also, feel free to download all of my songs using the links to Amazon.com. The more people that download, probably the higher on the "most downloads" list I'll get and then even more people will download them. I've always let people have my music for free, and the more the merrier. Just remember though, you get what you pay for!
Please bare in mind that the site's still under construction.

Beyond Belief
I'm in nostalgia mode lately. I was reading Master and Commander lately, (which I enjoyed but I wouldn't go out and read the other 19 books in the series) which is about old english maritime stuff, and all I could think about was this old c64 game I used to play called Pirates! So I downloaded a C64 emulator and Pirates! and was playing it all weekend. I did alot better than I remember doing before. I also downloaded Starleague Baseball from www.c64.com, which I used to play alot too.
Right now I'm listening to Beyond Belief, by Petra. For a while when I first became a Christian it was the only album I had, and I remember one particularly fun time driving home from college and singing along with my roomie, Shroomie. Ah, memories...

busy?
It's amazing how time can just fly. One day it's monday, then before you know it the next day is, uh, well tuesday. In any event, I haven't given you much incentive lately to read my blog. Our son cut another tooth the other day, I guess yesterday.
Did I mention we have new landlords? They are moving in slowly until the end of the month. We talked with them a couple of times, but it's weird having new landlords. You get used to the old ones, and how they do things, then you have to adjust to the new ones. It's different than moving into a new place because at least you expect a change. We're going to contact a realtor and see if there's anything out there we can afford. If God's got something for us, then it'll happen, otherwise I don't see much chance.

He came down from the mountain
The retreat went really well. It is a really nice chalet, and everyone seemed to have a good time. I realized a couple of things through the time we were there.
1) all you need to do to have a good retreat is to have a retreat. You're set up to succeed and you'd have to try pretty hard to make it suck. It also depends on the people at the retreat. We had a good group.
2) Retreats are more fun when you aren't in charge...

Farewell
I'm off to the retreat today. It's supposed to be a really nice weekend. If you think of it, you can pray for us. If I don't ever blog again, that means I never made it back...

Get up, stand up...
Yesterday afternoon I came home early, seeing as I'll be gone all weekend. I was then fortunate enough to see our son stand on his own for the first time, as far as we know. He was standing with one hand on the wall or something, when he decided to take that hand off of the wall. He stood their, perfectly straight for a couple of seconds. It was pretty cool to get to see that.

Killing time
If you're looking for something to do (and probably by the fact that you are reading this blog you fit into that category), then take a click over to Montage-a-google. Type in a word and see what comes out.

Downtown, lets go downtown
Currently I'm looking out a window onto Hastings Street. I'm here at Norwest Corporation doing some work until my brother-in-laws get off of work. Tonight, my wife's youngest brother is coming over and we're going out for sushi. Should be good.
In other news, I just bought a four sided dice in a further effort to develop the game that I've thought up. I must do some work on it...

It went well
I think my sermon went well, from what I've heard from those who listened to it. I'm going to try and post it later in the week so you can hear too. In the mean time, we've got our youth retreat at lovely seymour chalet. If you want to see what it looks like, click the youth website link and eventually you'll get there.

Sermonization
This week I'm speaking here at the Church. I always find that I get a lot done during the weeks that I have to preach. I think it's because I do everything else instead of working on my sermon. I read an article about procrastinators that said that you should make a list with something really important on it that you need to do. That way, you'll find other things to accomplish and end up being productive, even if you never get around to that one thing. So this week's thing is my sermon. I will get to it in an hour or so, I've got a prayer meeting soon, so I'll get to it after that. I leave you with this thought... what are you avoiding?

Free Ice Cream
I've stuck with Yahoo! for a while. I've never had mounds of spam like hotmail (why anyone would use hotmail is beyond me), and they've treated me good. Now, they're giving away free icecream, but just today. Go to www.yahoo.ca and see for yourself. Sign up if you aren't already. You've got nothing to lose and ice cream to gain!

Celebrity Encounter
I normally don't use people's names on this blog, but I'm going to make an exception.... for Goldie Hahn (sp?). That's right. I saw her in Vancouver on Saturday. She lives around there, and I happened to be turning right just as she walked out in front of my car. Unfortunately my wife was getting her hair cut at the time and wasn't present. I would have to say that Goldie is officially the most famous person I've seen. I saw David Robinson , formerly of the SA Spurs once in Texas, but other than that I haven't had much chance to see celebs. My wife once got Antonio Bandera's autograph, but also snubbed Melanie Griffith, his wife, in the process.
Haven't posted for a while, sorry, and the site's under a bit of constructiton, but I'll try to have to new and improved MM out by the end of the week.
