Unexpected Visit

Last night we got a phone call from my husband's brother. It was nice to hear from him. Then he told my husband that he was in town and wanted to come over for the evening. Well, that was such a surprise. So my husband went to pick him up and we had a thrown together late supper and a nice evening together. He hadn't seen our kids since this past summer and so it was neat for them to see each other again. Our son was very excited that his Uncle was here. It's always fun to have those unexpected visits.

Scrapbooking World

I just wanted to let everybody who cares know that I have finally joined the scrapbooking world. I now know why so many people are into it - it is so much fun. I'm just learning and so it's a bit challenging right now, but I love it. I got some scapbooking stuff for my birthday and for Christmas. This past friday I went with a group of girls to a scrapbooking store from 7pm - 12am. It was so much fun and flew by so fast. I got some pointers and was able to complete a couple of pages.
If anybody has any pointers, feel free to leave them. For those of you who are hesitant like I once was, you just have to try it and you'll be hooked.

Not feeling too good

Well, our children have not been feeling very good. Our son had a fever for over a week, runny nose, coughing and to top it up he got an ear infection as well. Not fun. He was so sick that the day I took him to the clinic he fell asleep on me sitting in the office, fell asleep in Superstore waiting for the prescription, fell asleep on the way home and then slept from 11:30am - 4:30pm. Crazy! If any of you know him, you know that this is totally out of the ordinary. Today he finally seems to be a bit better, at least the fever seems to be fading.
Our daughter is not feeling so well either. Fever, and all the rest. But, she has started to lose her voice or at least it's all rough sounding. It's kind of cute, but I feel so bad for her. Yesterday she slept for 9am - 11am and then again from 12:30pm - 4:30pm.
So, now of course I'm starting to feel sick. Just hopefully I don't get the fever because I still have to take care of them. It's strange because my husband never seems to get sick even though the rest of us do.
Well, hopefully this all passes by the weekend so we can be ourselves again.
