Get up a get, get get down

Yesterday my wife went to get groceries and left me with our son. He was being really cute. We have a sunken living room, and he's able to get up the one step no problem now. Getting down is another thing completely. He's taken a few face plants, but yesterday I could see the wheels turning in his little head trying to figure out to get down with the minimum of trauma. He went sort of sideways and plopped down on his bottom on the living room floor. Voila. He did it again later, much less gracefully though. I'm always in awe seeing this little human being learning things and growing and just thinking how amazing the whole thing is. Wow...
