I continue on with my html learningness. I've been working on a site for our youth ministry. Nothing big, just for info and stuff. It's been neat learning and seeing how things fit together. I downloaded a Dreamweaver trial. I like it. It's easy to use and I can do things visually and then see the code right away, or vice versa which is helpful for me. I got a book from the library from 1999 on web design, but I get the feeling it's a tad bit out of date. I remember 1999. I was still using a 486 sx with a free juno account. Ah, those were the days...

Cross-reference my comments with my websites and draw your own conclusions. If you got yourself an HTML manual from 1993, stuck to the basic stuff and then learned CSS to make your site look how you like, you'd probably be way far ahead of most people putting sites on the web. Dreamweaver has it's good points, but it's no excuse for putting in the time and learning HTML. Keep it up!
hey! i used to use dreamweaver at my old job. it was pretty good. finicky, sometimes, but it's a lot better than what i have now - NOTHING!
Well, that's my point. Nothing is better than Dreamweaver, or whatever else you might have. Nothing allows you to learn the craft of HTML. With Dreamweaver, you just know Dreamweaver and when it's taken away, you have… nothing.
