Create vs. Consume

I was wandering around the internet the other day and ended up at the site for Ottmar Liebert (check him out if you haven't heard of him, I love his stuff). As I was looking at his pictures and listening to his music, it made me think about how I would like to be like him. No, not Zen Buddhist, or even a platinum selling recording artist, but creative.
It seems to me that we are all on a continuum between creation and consumption. I'm not nearly as creative as a would like to be. It's not that I couldn't be, I just have to do it on purpose, which is my difficult part. It's easier to consume, at least for me it's less demanding. Ottmar gives off this vibe that I've gotten from other people as well that they are just creative, and that's what they are. They dont' have to work on it. That's what I wish I was like. Creative, but still... lazy... wait, that doesn't sound right! Just wish it was easier.
So, my goal is now a positive goal. Instead of trying to not be lazy, procrastinating, etc. I will try to be more creative in all areas of my life. There, that was easy... now to the actually being creative part...
