I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to the new reliable toasters album. I've got 10 songs just about finished, and I'm going to stick with that. Ten seems like a nice number, and I don't think I could get any more done before Christmas. I need to redo the vox and guitar parts, add some BGV's and do a final mix. I thought about getting it mastered, but I'll see if I can afford something like that. One question I have for you loyal fans (giggle), is whether you'd be willing to pay for it if it sounded good enough. Not sure that I want to go that way, but I just thought I'd ask and see what people thought. Maybe I could slap it up on iTunes or some indie variant.
My struggle is that I really would rather give my stuff away, but I'm not sure if that's simply because that's the right thing to do, or I would just feel awkward taking money for something I just love doing. Any and all thoughts welcome.
In any event, you never know what might be in your stocking come Christmas Day!

New Stuff to Report
Hey out there, how's it going? Things are pretty chilly here in S'toon, but it's amazing how quickly you get used to it again. I don't mind the cold/snow so much. We've got a place, and all the utilities hooked up for Nov. 1. Does telephone count as a utility? I was just wondering what makes a utility anyway? If telephone counts, what about internet? I suppose those are more like "services".
Anyway, nothing on the job front. Although I did hear second hand that the painter I worked for that one day thought I did a really good job, he just doesn't even have enough work for himself at the moment.
I'm playing indoor soccer, have I mentioned that? I've never played on a team before. I'm pretty out-of-shape, so it's nice to be doing something exercisey for a change. We lost our first exhibition game 6-1. I think we'll get better as we get to know each other as a team. We didn't play very well as a team, but half of us were new. Here's the website if you're interested. We're Tauro FC in Men's Division 2, 6 on 6. I'll put a link in the sidebar and keep you updated on the all of the goals I don't score. I almost got one yesterday. It wasn't as good a chance as it looked. The goalie sort of fumbled it, and I was about a step too far away to knock it in.
We've started attending West Portal MB Church. My wife's sister and her husband go there, as well as most of our friends that we knew from when we lived here before.
Well, that's good for now. Stay tuned and I'll keep you posted.

Updated
If you go here you'll notice that I've revamped my song download page. No longer must you sign-up with soundclick to download them. They are but a click away. And there's the nifty music player there too. The hockey add is a little annoying in a Chipmunks' Christmas Album kinda way. Also, if you use iTunes, you can easily download everything with one simple step... or maybe it's a couple. Whatever. Even if you already have them, go take a look see anyway.
On a different front, I was a painter today. I was working for a guy painting a new house. It was alright. He went golfing and I did it all myself. Just the rolling, no cutting in. Painting is soooo much easier when there's no furniture, wall plates, toilets, etc. to have to go around, or carpet to drip on. Don't know if I'll be doing any more... guess I'll see if he likes my work or has anything else for me. As much as I enjoy that sort of stuff, It made me miss my old job. I really did enjoy being a pastor, and maybe I will get that chance again. In the mean time, I suppose this is a chance to do something different for a while.
On another front, our daughter can now sit for extended periods. I think she reached this milestone sooner than big brother. However, by this age he was fully crawling (why would you want to just sit?) and she is only doing this really cute commando crawl. My wife has a big project for herself. She is designing and producing a whole crib sheet/skirt/quilt thing for our daughter. We're even painting the crib. Would be nice if we were actually going to use it soon, but I suppose this gives her time to finish all that stuff.

Yes, we have arrived
Here we are in Saskatoon. It took two 13 hour days, but we made it. So far we're looking for a new place, and I'm looking for work. If you know of anyone who's looking to hire a hard-working individual, let me know. I just thought I'd throw in a little update. I had lost the power supply for our laptop, and I just ordered a new one. It arrived yesterday, which was about half as long as Dell said it would take. Oh, one pointer... If you are ever ordering something on the phone from Dell, balk at the price and the guy on the other end of the phone may just give you free shipping. It worked for me, and I didn't even do it on purpose. Sweet!
