Not much happening

There hasn't been too much going on with us, but I figured it was time to update the blog anyway.
A week ago we went swimming. It was lots of fun, except for the freezing cold water. We all enjoyed the hot tub the best. We put our daughter in one of those baby boats and she liked it and looked so cute. Our son was a little hesitant even though when he was younger I used to go all the time with him. I think it was just too cold.
I have started going to a mom's group on Tuesday mornings. It's nice just to get out of the house and to give the kids a chance to play with other kids. So, that is what we are doing today. I'm looking forward to it.
We have started planning for our daughters first birthday. That is very exciting that she is so near to that. It's been a very busy year and so her first year has gone by very fast. We have tried to make it the best even thought we've had so much chaos. I'm sure glad we are finally settled in our own home as our own little family. I am very excited about the presents that we've bought her, although I won't say what they are.
For those of you who don't know, it is still freezing cold here. There hasn't been any nice days for awhile. We still want to go sledding and skating, but it's just too cold.
Our son is talking so much now. We can have actual conversations with him. He's quite a smart little boy. He loves to play and imagine things. My husband brought home a big washing machine box from work and so now that is his work shop and he plays in it all the time.
Our daughter is walking along everything. We've tried getting her to walk from person to person and sometimes she can take a few steps on her own. She gets so excited that I think it distracts her. She's getting some new teeth now, so she's a bit unhappy, but it's not too bad.
Well, that's it about us. Maybe next time we'll have something more interesting to say. I'm sure you are all wanting to hear from my husband, so maybe he'll write something next.
